New weir and hydroelectric power plant on the Vistula river near Nieszawa

Polish waterways, except for a few exceptions, do not meet the standards of international navigability. Poland is a member of the AGN convention and its primary goal is to ensure the fourth class of navigability on the sections of the Odra, Wisła and Bug rivers.

The investment, in addition to restoring navigability on the Vistula River, aims to build a hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of approx. 80MW. The commencement of the investment implementation is planned for 2020, and its completion on 2025.
