PGNiG Termika will build the state-of-the-art gas and steam unit in Poland

PGNiG Termika has signed a contract with the Mitsubishi consortium Hitachi Power Systems Europe GmbH, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Ltd, Hitachi Power Systems Europe Ltd. and Polimex-Mostostal SA for the CHP plant construction in the Żerań power plant with the following parameters:

  • 497 MW electric power
  • 326 MW thermal power
The investment is expected to be completed in 2020.
After the new block is built, the output power will increase from 386 MWe to 690 MWe.
The unit will consume approximately 550 million m3 of gas, which will account for about 4% of national gas consumption.
